People 55 years and older are a rapidly growing demographic of cannabis consumers. Seniors are using weed to help a variety of ailments including inflammation, joint pain, insomnia, and more. This week, Hayley speaks with two guests to find out more about why seniors are gettin’ on board with cannabis. First, she speaks with Kandice Hawes, who oversees a monthly shuttle service that transports seniors from their homes in Laguna Woods, to nearby Bud and Bloom dispensary. Then, she talks with one such senior – 66-year-old Shari Horne – a cannabis activist and former mayor of Laguna Woods, about why her weed use USED to be her biggest secret.
