Join host Lindsey Deaton this week and she sits down with Brody Fitzpatrick. Brody is an actor, singer, and retired firefighter from New York, but currently residing in Los Angeles. They discuss his childhood growing up in the Bronx, his experiences fighting against gender inequality in the NYC fire department, as well as working as a firefighter during the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. They also discuss his experiences coming out, choosing a new name, the procedures that transgender men may or may not decide to go through, and the importance of learning to love yourself through all of the bumps and triumphs.
